Epifunny #6: The Right To Remain Silent

Buddhist Miranda Law

This one came out of a random, hilarious conversation between my brother/mentor GD and me. Originally, it was something about a strict guru reading a disciple his Miranda rights. We had such a laugh we decided to dedicate an ‘epifunny’ to it. Hope you enjoy it. 🙂

I was feeling a little groggy before I read this Epifunny of yours. I’d like to have heard the whole conversation, but this is really funny. Perked me right up! (Maybe my own experience added to how funny it seems to me. Reminds me of when I was in school. A nun was often waiting at the door with the almighty yardstick in hand. I’d enter and — Whack! — I’d feel the yardstick on my bum. I’d yell out “What did you do that for?!? And she’d say “You KNOW what for!” and — Whack! — I got it again. In my mind I was thinking, “If I knew what it was for, I wouldn’t be stupid enough to ask “What was that for?” Thanks for sharing.

      1. Yes, it does seem funny now and I can laugh about it, but I sure didn’t think it was funny at that time. I’d like to hear about some of your episodes at the Jesuit-run school. I know they have to be funny if you tell it. Anyway, thanks for this one with the thief. I really enjoyed it!
